Winter beauty in Jurmala

Winter in Jurmala

I was lucky enough to experience the proper Latvian winter with strong frost and snow this year. Most of the time when I’m around it’s barely over the freezing temperature and views are not as great as I was managed to capture this time.

Last year was intense and demanding, so I thought it was time to have a break, organize myself and in general clear my mind off things.

Enjoying the beauty

Jurmala in winter season is the perfect place for such purpose – there are very few people outside the center, the air is fresh and the nature is beautiful. I myself don’t need anything else to concentrate and reload. Somehow the weather was also nice to me while I was here, adding to the whole mental recharge concept.

Working

And I was quite productive too – I’ve managed to complete a lot of things that were postponed throughout the year, as well as improve my health by having a solid workout regime combined with yoga, sauna and spa sessions. I also worked a lot on the blog, finally creating a Facebook page where I try to post every other day and also working on my blogging schedule.

I’ve also started going through all the photos that I have, organizing and sorting them out – something I’ve been willing to do for a long time.

All in all, retreating for a while to a quiet place turned out to be very productive and I am full of energy to take up all experiences that the New Year will bring. I can only recommend such type of travel once in a while to everyone who needs a break – the destination in this case is not as important).

In the end, it’s all in your head and once you clear it, there are no limits to the adventure (the last picture is not me, just a brave lady going for a swim when it’s minus 10 degrees out).
